Brush-Applied Airtight White for Retrofit Detailing
On retrofit and detailing work you often can’t get a spray rig in — you need to seal awkward areas by hand, neatly, and ideally leave them looking finished. That’s the job for a brush-applied airtight white.

The problem
Spraying is fast on open walls but impractical around fitted rooms, tight details and occupied spaces. Retrofit airtightness lives or dies on the detailing — reveals, junctions and penetrations — and that work needs a membrane you can apply precisely by hand while keeping a clean, paintable finish.
The solution: Airtight White Brush
Airtight White Brush (6.9kg) is a fibre-reinforced, brush-applied airtight vapour control membrane. BBA and Passivhaus certified, it spans small gaps and seals reveals, junctions and penetrations — and can be left on show or painted, just like the sprayed grade.
How it is applied
- Prepare a sound, dust-free surface; prime porous substrates
- Work the membrane into reveals, junctions and around penetrations
- Build to the required film thickness
- Leave on show or overpaint once cured
Benefits
- Brush-applied — ideal for retrofit and detailing
- Fibre-reinforced to span gaps
- White, paintable and certified
Frequently asked questions
Can I use it alongside the sprayed grade? Yes — brush the details, spray the open areas; they’re the same system.
Is it suitable for occupied buildings? Yes — it’s low-odour and VOC-free.
