Protecting Steel from Corrosion On Site

Exposed steelwork, fixings and tools rust fast on a damp UK site. Left unprotected, surface corrosion spreads, weakens connections, stains finishes and leaves a poor handover. A fast-drying anti-oxidation spray holds it off.

A water-resistant film holds off corrosion

Why steel corrodes on site

Bare and freshly cut steel oxidises as soon as it meets moisture and oxygen — and a building site provides both in abundance. The result is rust staining, seized fixings and corrosion taking hold on connections and exposed members before the build is even watertight.

The solution: an anti-oxidation spray

Anti Oxidation Spray is a fast, rust- and corrosion-resistant coating in a 360° aerosol. Acid- and silicone-free, it lays down a water-resistant protective film on clean, dry metal to hold corrosion at bay — and the 360° valve lets you spray at any angle, into awkward spots and overhead.

Where to use it

  • Cut ends and welds on structural steel
  • Fixings, brackets and connections
  • Tools and plant left on site
  • Temporary protection until permanent coatings go on

How to use it

  • Clean the surface — dry and free of grease
  • Shake well
  • Spray evenly from 10–20cm, at any angle

Benefits

  • Rust and corrosion resistant
  • Water-resistant; acid- and silicone-free
  • Sprays at any angle for awkward areas

Frequently asked questions

Is it permanent? It’s ideal for temporary and in-process protection; for a peelable, longer-term film that also resists fire, see Intelligent Protect AC/FR.
