Adam White Extends Charity Support To Blue Ribbon Foundation
Adam White Partners with Blue Ribbon Foundation to Champion Men’s Mental and Physical Health in Construction.
Adam White, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Intelligent Membranes, has pledged to use everything in his power to promote men’s mental and physical health through a new partnership with the Blue Ribbon Foundation.
This commitment comes at a critical time for the UK construction industry. The sector faces some of the most alarming mental health statistics in the country, with two men taking their own lives every working day. Construction continues to have the highest suicide rate of any profession in the UK. Despite this, conversations around mental health on building sites are still often avoided, and many men continue to suffer in silence.
For Adam White and the Intelligent Membranes group, this is not simply a corporate partnership. It is a call to action.

Why This Matters
The Blue Ribbon Foundation, led by Jonathan Prince MBE, is dedicated to improving men’s health and overall well-being. Its work focuses on three core objectives:
-
Raising awareness of male physical and mental health issues
-
Encouraging men to take proactive steps to safeguard their health, from routine GP appointments to seeking early support for mental health concerns
-
Using the Blue Ribbon as a unifying symbol to bring together communities, businesses and charities in support of men’s health
The Foundation aims to challenge outdated perceptions and create an environment where men feel able to speak openly, seek help and prioritise their wellbeing without stigma or judgement.

Intelligent Membranes’ Commitment
As part of this partnership, Intelligent Membranes is committing ongoing support to the Blue Ribbon Foundation through the sale of its Poseidon waterproofing system.
For every Poseidon product sold, the company will actively promote the Blue Ribbon Foundation’s message and initiatives, helping to raise awareness of men’s mental and physical health across the construction sector.
Poseidon is known as the “God of Waterproofing” within the Intelligent Membranes range, protecting buildings from moisture and structural damage. Now, it will also help support something even more important, the well-being of the men who build, maintain and work within those structures.
By linking product performance with purpose, Intelligent Membranes is ensuring that every sale contributes to a wider mission: breaking the stigma around men’s health and encouraging open conversations within the industry.
Adam White on Breaking the Silence
Adam White said:
“It’s time we faced these issues head-on. In construction, we lose two men every working day to suicide. That is not just a statistic. It represents fathers, brothers, friends and colleagues whose lives are cut short.
Men are still far less likely to seek help. Only 36 % of NHS talking therapy referrals come from men, despite suicide rates being three times higher for men than women. We have to change the culture. We have to make it acceptable to talk and normal to check in on each other.
The connection between physical health and mental well-being is undeniable. By working with the Blue Ribbon Foundation, we want to raise awareness, start important conversations and make a lasting impact in our industry and the wider community.”
Through this partnership, Intelligent Membranes is sending a clear message that performance, productivity and progress in construction must go hand in hand with compassion, awareness and support for those working within it.
