Roofing & Balconies — Cold-Applied Liquid Roofing Membrane
Flat roofs and balconies fail at the details — so we got rid of the details. The GOAT is a cold-applied liquid roofing membrane that flows around upstands, outlets, plant bases, pipework and parapets and cures into one seamless, flexible, fully-bonded waterproof skin. No torch, no hot works permit, no laps, no seams — and an ETA-assessed working life of 25 years.
Cold-applied liquid roofing — no hot works
Torch-on felt means flame on the roof: hot works permits, fire watch, insurance headaches and risk you don't need. The GOAT is a cold liquid-applied reactive polymer — rolled or poured straight from the tub, bonding aggressively to felt, asphalt, concrete, metal and single-ply. That makes it the natural choice for overlaying a tired felt or asphalt roof without stripping it, and for occupied buildings where flame is a non-starter.
- Seamless — liquid-applied, so there are no joints to fail
- Cold-applied — no torch, no hot works permit, no fire risk
- Fully bonded — water can't track underneath like it does under sheets
- Flexible — moves with the deck through thermal cycling
- ETA certified — 25-year assessed working life
- Detail-friendly — upstands, outlets, rooflights and plant bases coated in the same pass
Balcony and terrace waterproofing
Balconies are small roofs with worse details: door thresholds, balustrade posts, drainage outlets and constant foot traffic. The GOAT handles balcony waterproofing as one continuous membrane across the deck and up the upstands — and it's tough enough to be trafficked. For kicker blocks, foundations and podium details it's the same product doing the same job lower down the building.

The system
Prime porous or dusty substrates with Primer IM or smooth surfaces with Supergrip, then apply The GOAT in two coats, checking thickness with a wet film gauge. Colours: black, grey — or solar reflective white, which adds heat management to the waterproofing: see our Solar Reflective Roofing page and the Dubai roof we cooled by 15°C.
