Waltham Forest College Passivhaus Training Hub

Intelligent Membranes worked with Waltham Forest College and White Haus Timber Frame on the Passivhaus ME Training School and Ecohub, a purpose-built learning environment designed to give students hands-on experience of modern, low-energy construction.

The training hub brings building performance out of the textbook and into a real-world setting, allowing learners to explore airtightness, vapour control, insulation and other energy-efficient construction principles at full scale.

Passive Purple was incorporated into the training environment to demonstrate liquid-applied airtightness and vapour control, helping students understand the importance of continuity across surfaces, junctions, penetrations and openings.

The facility forms part of Waltham Forest College's wider commitment to green skills training, helping prepare the next generation of construction professionals for increasingly demanding energy-efficiency and retrofit standards.
