Absolutely. Our coatings are designed for versatility, perfect for new Passivhaus
projects or upgrading existing homes to be more airtight, waterproof, and energy-efficient.
Do you offer training or product demos?
Yes, we offer on-site and online demonstrations. Our team also runs training days for installers who want hands-on experience with our products.
Product Application & Use
How are your products applied?
Most of our products are liquid-applied using rollers, brushes,or airless spray systems, making them quick, clean, and easy to use on all kinds of surfaces.
Do I need specialist equipment to apply your coatings?
Some of our products require an airless spray device.
Can your coatings be used both internally and externally?
Yes, depending on the product. Passive Purple Internal is designed for internal
airtightness, while Passive Purple External and Passive Purple X are made for exterior
use and façade protection.
Do I need to use a primer first?
In most cases, yes, we recommend primers like Lime Prime, Primer I.M, or Intelligent SuperGrip for optimal adhesion and durability.
Are your products compatible with plaster, render, or paint finishes?
Definitely. Once cured, our coatings can be plastered, rendered, or painted over without issues, just follow the recommended drying times

How long do your coatings last?
Many of our products have a lifespan of 15+ years when applied correctly, with some offering permanent performance when protected by other materials.
Are your membranes tested or certified?
Yes, our range includes products that are EPD certified, fire tested (SGS and BS
standards), and airtightness tested by certified Passivhaus engineers.
Are your airtight paints vapour-permeable?
Yes! Our Passive Purple coatings are intelligent vapour control membranes, allowing your building to breathe while maintaining airtightness.
How do your products improve energy efficiency?
By sealing gaps, preventing moisture ingress, and reducing air leakage, our coatings help maintain consistent indoor temperatures and reduce energy bills.
Can your coatings bridge cracks or movement joints?
Yes, products like Waterproof Blue and Passive Purple are flexible and have high
crack-bridging properties to cope with movement in substrates.
Ordering, Delivery & Storage
Where can I buy your products?
Directly from our website or through authorised distributors. We ship across the UK, Europe, and the US.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is 2–3 working days within the UK.
How should I store your products?
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and frost. Always keep containers
sealed when not in use. Storage for 24 months of manufacture date in original unopened packaging
What sizes are available?
Most products come in 5kg, 10kg, or 11.4kg containers, depending on the range.
Can I return unused product?
Unopened containers may be returnable depending on the condition and time since
purchase, please contact our team for details.

Are your products eco-friendly?
Yes! All our products are water-based, low-VOC, and solvent-free, safe for people, pets, and the planet.
Are your coatings fire tested?
Yes, products like Passive Purple Internal, Passive Purple External and FRED have undergone rigorous fire safety
testing to ensure they meet or exceed building standards.
Do your products contribute to Passivhaus or sustainable building certification?
They do. Intelligent Membranes coatings are widely used in certified Passivhaus and
low-energy projects worldwide.
How do I safely dispose of left over product?
Allow any leftover liquid to cure into a solid membrane, then dispose of it as non-hazardous waste in line with local regulations. As per the safety data sheet
Are your containers recyclable?
Yes, all our plastic containers are recyclable once rinsed and dry
