• The High-Rise Standard (Class B)

When building tall, fire safety is the number one priority. Standard membranes are no longer enough.
Passive Purple X is formulated specifically for the demands of high-rise and commercial structures.

    • Certified Safety: Rated Class B-s1, d0. It makes a limited contribution to fire and produces low smoke, meeting the strict requirements for buildings over 11m and 18m.
    • Dual Use: Fully certified for use on both the Internal (warm side) and External (cold side) of the building envelope.
  • Adjustable Vapour Resistance

This is the game-changer for Architects and Energy Consultants.Usually, you
are stuck with the fixed vapour resistance of a specific sheet membrane. Passive Purple X gives you precision control.
You can adjust the Sd Value (equivalent air layer thickness) of the membrane simply by altering the applied thickness of the coating.

    • Need higher breathability? Apply a thinner coat. Perfect for external applications or solid wall retrofits where moisture escape is critical.
    • Need higher vapour resistance? Apply a thicker coat. Ideal for internal applications where you need a stronger check against moisture entering the structure.

Stop buying different rolls for different walls. Just calibrate your spray gauge.

  • Application Scenarios

    1. Internal High-Rise (SFS & Concrete)
Used as the primary internal Airtightness and Vapour Control Layer (AVCL).

    • Why X? Because high-rise residential corridors and commercial spaces require that Class B fire rating for compliance.
    • The Benefit: Sprays rapidly over steel framing systems (SFS), concrete cores, and drylining, sealing the building against wind pressure and heat loss.

    2. External High-Rise (Behind Facades)
Used on the external face of the sheathing board or blockwork before the insulation and rainscreen cladding are installed.

    • Why X? It provides a water-resistant, airtight skin that creates a fire-safe backdrop for your facade system.
    • The Benefit: Because it is UV stable and durable, it protects the building structure during the construction phase before the cladding goes on.

A Note for Consultants

Passive Purple X allows you to verify your Condensation Risk Analysis with physical
precision. By specifying the exact wet film thickness, you ensure the wall build-up performs exactly as your thermal model predicts.
