Suitable Substrates

Waterproof Blue is the ultimate replacement for traditional plastic membranes like DPCs and DPMs. Designed for superior waterproofing, it can be applied to any area where you’d typically use plastic membranes — such as on top of block and beam floors and the upstands of kicker blocks—creating a seamless, airtight, and watertight barrier for your project. This advanced, VOC-free, water-based solution can be effortlessly applied with a roller or paintbrush, ensuring quick and easy installation. Plus, it provides added protection
against radon, enhancing the safety and durability of your build.

Application

• STEP 1 – Fill the joints between the surface, and the draining and tubes with a paintable waterproof sealant. When these joints are < 5mm, enlarge these
  before applying the sealant.
• STEP 2 – Apply the Waterproof Blue, waterproof paint membrane with a longhaired roller in two coats. Coverage in 2 layers is minimal 800gr/m2, or 2 layers of approx. 400 gr/m2 depending on the roughness of the substrate. Second layer to be applied crosswise on the first layer, when the first layer has dried out.  Make sure to check for complete coverage.
• STEP 3 –When the second layer of Waterproof Blue, water proof paint membrane has dried out (24 to 48 hours after application), apply tiling as finishing. Suitable tiling glues include: cement glue class C2 or dispersion glue class D2TE, according EN12004
